As a leading UK based PC manufacturer and supplier of home and business electronic products we understand our responsibility both to our customers and to the environment. In the UK, home users alone dispose of over 1.2 million tonnes of electrical and electronic waste every year. Much of this waste has historically ended up in landfill sites. Evesham Technology is committed to helping customers understand how to recycle more and we are working to minimise our effect on the environment by reducing waste where ever we can.
WEEE Collection Facilities for the home user
Evesham Technology are members of the distributor take back scheme (DTS) and makes a financial contribution toward the development of the Government network of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) collection facilities in the UK. We have partnered with DTS operator Valpak who are the UK's leading provider of responsible compliance and recycling solutions.
Valpak have compiled the register of all WEEE collection points (known as Designated Collection Facilities – DCFs) throughout the UK. These facilities are free and offer home users a convenient way of disposing of their household electrical products. You can search for your nearest facility by visiting www.recycle-more.co.uk.

Businesses are restricted from these public facilities and need to make their own arrangements for disposal with producers. We can offer help and advice; our Smart Disposal Service provides an IT asset management solution for a range of customers from Public Sector, Education, SME's and large corporate clients.
Our service covers all aspects of asset disposal and decommissioning with a major focus placed on the security of your data. As part of our service we carry out the following steps:
- Collection from your place of business
- Storage of equipment for a minimum 7 days
- Assessment of what will be recycled or re-used
- Purging of data to DOD level 7 standard
- Remarketing of re-usable equipment
- Recycling and recovery of salvageable materials
- Complete reporting for full traceability

This symbol appears on all Evesham Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and reminds you that separate recycling facilities and services are available for the disposal of electrical equipment. WEEE should not be discarded along with other types of waste.
Committed to reducing our Carbon Footprint

World's First Carbon Free Processor
The VIA C7-D processor, configured inside Evesham's range of green computing solutions, is the world's first Carbon Free computer component and is helping individuals and organisations reduce their Carbon Footprint. For every VIA C7-D processor sold VIA works with environmental experts to calculate the electricity used over the processors lifetime (assumed to be 3 years). Then from the amount of electricity used, VIA calculates how much CO2 emissions will be released into the environment mainly as a result of fossil fuel burning power plants, and then works with regional offset organisations to "offset" that amount of CO2 through projects such as reforestation, Alternative Energy and Energy Conservation.
